Wealth University

Privacy Policy

How Wealth University collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 26 October 2026.

Wealth University provides education to its members and community. To do that, we need some information about you. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It applies wherever you are, and it includes extra detail that UK, European and South African law require.

Wealth University provides education only. We do not give personal financial advice, we do not manage money and we do not make investment decisions for anyone. Any financial information you share with us is used to support your learning, never to advise you.

1. Who we are

Wealth University ("we", "us", "our") decides how and why your personal information is used. Under the UK and EU GDPR this makes us the controller; under POPIA we are the responsible party.

  • Partners in our partner programme, and the people they refer or introduce to us.
  • Anyone who contacts us.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number (which may be your WhatsApp number) and country.
  • Your answers in forms: for example what best describes you, what you want to learn, whether you are already a member and, for partners, how you plan to share Wealth University and whether you hold a financial services licence.
  • Financial information you choose to share: for example your income, assets, liabilities, net worth, goals and plans, when you use our calculators and workbooks, take part in workshops or coaching, or speak to our team (see section 6).
  • Purchase and billing details: what you bought, when, your billing name and address and your subscription status. Card payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.

  • Your messages to us: emails, WhatsApp and text messages, and anything else you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Website and device data: IP address, browser, device, approximate location (from your IP address), pages viewed, the page that referred you and how you use our websites.

  • Event data: whether you registered for and attended a live event, and for how long.

Information from other people

  • A partner or another member who introduces you to us, for example by email.
  • The platforms we use to run our communities, events and payments.
  • Advertising platforms, when you respond to one of our adverts or lead forms.

Information we do not want

We do not ask for special category or special personal information, such as information about your health, religion, race or ethnic origin, political views, sex life, trade union membership, biometrics or criminal record. Please do not share it with us, including on recorded calls or in our communities. If you do, we will only keep it where it is necessary and lawful, and otherwise delete it.

4. What you must give us, and what is optional

Where a form marks a field as required (usually your name, email address and sometimes your phone number), we need it to give you what you asked for: an event place, community access, a booking, a purchase or a partner account. If you do not provide it, we cannot provide that service. To buy a paid product, we also need your payment details.

Everything else, including the financial information described in section 6, is voluntary. You can choose not to share it; you will still be able to use our free education, but some tools, calls or coaching may be less useful to you.

Partners must also provide payout and tax details before we can pay commission.

5. How we use it and why

The law requires a lawful reason for each way we use your information. Under the UK and EU GDPR this is called a "lawful basis"; POPIA sets out similar conditions in section 11. These are ours:

What we doLawful basis
Give you what you signed up for: event places and joining links, community access, courses, memberships, calls and receiptsPerforming our contract with you, or steps you asked us to take before one
Take payments, manage subscriptions and refunds, and keep financial recordsContract; legal obligation
Send service messages such as reminders, joining links, changes and account noticesContract; legitimate interests
Send educational emails and messages about our events and programmesYour consent, or for existing customers our legitimate interests where the law allows (see section 8)
Use the financial information you share to support your learning, worksheets, coaching and callsContract; your consent where you choose to share it
Record and transcribe calls and events, and use AI tools to take notesLegitimate interests (accurate notes, follow-up, quality and training); your consent where the law requires it
Run the partner programme: track referrals, calculate and pay commission and check the partner rules are followedContract (with partners); legitimate interests (for people referred)
Understand how our websites, emails and events are used, and improve themLegitimate interests; consent where required for cookies
Measure and show our advertsConsent where required; legitimate interests
Answer questions and handle complaintsLegitimate interests
Keep our services and members safe and prevent fraud and misuseLegitimate interests; legal obligation
Comply with the law and respond to lawful requestsLegal obligation

Our legitimate interests are running and improving an education business, telling people about education that is relevant to them, and keeping our services secure. We only rely on them where they are not outweighed by your interests and rights.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

6. Financial information you share

Our education is about your own wealth, so you may choose to share financial information with us, for example in the Freedom Calculator, Know Your Numbers workbooks, coaching sessions, discovery calls or strategy sessions.

  • We use it only to support your learning, prepare for and follow up on your sessions, and help you understand your own position.
  • We do not use it to give personal financial advice, recommend products or make investment decisions for you.
  • We limit access to the team members who need it, and we never share it with partners.
  • If you ask to be introduced to a third party, such as a licensed adviser or a member of our Private Wealth Global team, we share only what is needed for that introduction, and only with your agreement.
  • You can ask us to delete it at any time (see section 16).

7. Calls, recordings and AI note-taking

We record many of our calls and events, and we use AI note-taking and transcription tools to create notes and summaries. This includes discovery calls, strategy sessions, coaching calls, webinars, workshops and the Wealth Summit.

  • Why: so we have accurate notes, can follow up properly, can share replays with members, and can improve and check the quality of our education.
  • What is captured: your voice, anything you say or type in the chat and, if your camera is on, your image. Transcripts and AI-generated summaries are kept with your record.
  • Your choice: we will tell you at the start of a one-to-one call when it is recorded. You can ask us not to record or not to use AI notes, and you can keep your camera off and stay silent in group events.
  • Replays: recordings of group events may be shared with members. Please do not share personal or financial details you would not want others to hear.
  • AI providers: our AI tools are provided by third-party operators acting on our instructions. We do not allow them to use your information to train their models where we can control this.

8. Emails, WhatsApp and marketing

  • If you are not yet a customer, we only send you marketing by email, text or WhatsApp if you have agreed to it, for example by registering for an event or joining our free community.
  • If you are a customer or member, we may tell you about similar education and events from us, unless you have told us not to.
  • Every marketing message lets you opt out: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to a text or WhatsApp message, or email [email protected]. Opting out is free and takes effect as soon as we can action it.
  • We will still send messages you need, such as receipts, joining links and account notices.
  • WhatsApp groups and communities: if you join one, other members can see your name, profile photo and phone number. You can leave at any time.

9. Our communities and events

Our online communities (on Skool and our own portal) are shared spaces. Your profile, posts, comments and reactions can be seen by other members. Think before posting personal or financial details. We may remove content that breaks our community rules. If you leave, we may keep your posts in an anonymised form so that conversations still make sense, unless you ask us to remove them.

10. Our partner programme

Partners are independent people who invite others to Wealth University events and pages, or introduce them to our team. Partners are not authorised to give advice on our behalf.

If you are a partner, we use your details to set up your account and portal access, give you your personal links, track the people you refer, calculate and pay your commission, check the partner rules are followed, and send you partner updates. We keep commission and payment records for tax and accounting purposes.

If a partner referred you, your visit or sign-up is linked to that partner so they can be credited. In their portal, partners can see limited information about people credited to them, such as a name or email address and the status of the referral, so that commission can be checked. Partners never see your financial information or call notes, and they must not use referral information for anything else.

11. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where we need to:

  • Service providers (operators and processors) who run our systems on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions. These include our customer relationship, website and email platform (HighLevel), payment processing (Stripe), our online communities (Skool and our partner portal), live events (Zoom), video hosting (YouTube), email, SMS and WhatsApp messaging providers, scheduling tools, AI note-taking and productivity tools, cloud storage (such as Google Workspace) and accounting software.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms such as Meta and Google, to measure and show our adverts.
  • Our partners: only the limited referral information described in section 10.
  • Related businesses, including Private Wealth Global, and third parties you ask to be introduced to, with your agreement (see section 6).
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and auditors.
  • Authorities and regulators, where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our members or the public.
  • A buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold or reorganised. They would have to respect this policy.

12. Transfers to other countries

We are a global community. Our team works from the United Kingdom and South Africa, and many of our service providers store or process information in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. This means your information may be transferred across borders.

  • From the UK or EU, we protect transfers using adequacy decisions or regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another safeguard permitted by law.
  • From South Africa, we only transfer information under section 72 of POPIA: where the recipient is bound by law, binding rules or an agreement that gives an adequate level of protection, where you consent, or where the transfer is necessary for our contract with you.

You can ask us for more detail about the safeguards we use.

13. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels and similar tools work in a similar way. We use:

  • Essential cookies to make our websites, forms, checkouts and logins work.
  • Preference cookies to remember choices, such as whether you have already heard our theme music.
  • Analytics cookies to understand how our websites are used.
  • Advertising cookies and pixels (for example from Meta and Google) to measure our adverts and show relevant ones.
  • A partner tracking cookie, set when you arrive through a partner's link, so that the partner is credited if you join or buy within 365 days.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage adverts through your Meta and Google ad settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of our websites from working, and blocking the partner cookie means a partner may not be credited for introducing you.

14. How long we keep it

  • Contacts who have not bought anything: while you stay in touch with us, then up to three years after your last interaction.
  • Members and customers: for the life of your membership, then up to seven years for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
  • Partners: for the life of your partnership, then up to seven years for commission, tax and accounting records.
  • Call recordings, transcripts and AI notes: up to two years after the call, unless needed for longer for a complaint or legal reason.
  • Group event recordings: while they are useful to members, unless you ask us to remove a part showing you.
  • Opt-out records: we keep the minimum needed so we do not contact you again.

When we no longer need information, we delete or destroy it, or make it anonymous.

15. How we keep it safe

We use reputable providers, secure connections, access controls and two-step sign-in where available, and we limit access to people who need it. Our service providers must keep your information secure and confidential. If a security breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulator where the law requires, including the ICO and South Africa's Information Regulator. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.

16. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights:

  • Access: to ask whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it and details of who has received it.
  • Correction: to ask us to correct information that is wrong, incomplete or out of date.
  • Deletion: to ask us to delete or destroy your information.
  • Restriction: to ask us to limit how we use it.
  • Objection: to object to how we use it, including on the grounds of legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing.
  • Portability: to ask us to transfer information you gave us to you or another organisation (UK and EU).
  • Withdraw consent: at any time, where we rely on your consent. This does not affect what we did before.
  • Automated decisions: not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.
  • Complain to a regulator (see section 17), and in South Africa to institute civil proceedings.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] with "Privacy" in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within one month (and within any shorter time your local law requires), and there is usually no charge. Some rights have legal limits, for example where we must keep financial records; if so, we will explain.

17. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a regulator:
